
A Gosforth road will close for up to six days for patching work.
Cumberland Council will begin essential pre‑surface dressing patching work on the C4026 between Hardingill and Whitecroft, Gosforth, from Monday, January 19.
The work will be carried out under a full road closure, with a signed diversion route.
The work is expected to take six days, subject to weather and on‑site conditions.
Access arrangements:
- No on‑street parking will be permitted within the working area during operational hours (7.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday).
- Resident and business access will be maintained where possible. On‑site marshals will assist and advise as works progress.
- Emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will have access at all times.
