A section of the M6 will close overnight for urgent repairs next week.
National Highways said the motorway will close southbound between Junction 40 at Penrith and Junction 39 at Shap on Tuesday, January 27.
Contractors will carry out urgent surface repair work.
The road will be closed between 10pm and 6am.
Traffic will be diverted to the A6 and National Highways said it will deploy speed warning signs along the diversion route.
