Leading auctioneers Mitchells will be hold two free valuation events in Cumbria.
The events will be held in Wasdale and Grasmere and people are invited to bring their antiques, jewellery, pictures, collectables and curios to be valued for free by Mitchells’ antiques and fine art experts David Brookes, James Moore and Claire Machin.
The first event, on Saturday February 7, will be held at Wasdale Community Hall at The Old School, Nether Wasdale from 10am to 2pm.
Donations are welcome towards upkeep of the hall.
The second event, organised by Grasmere WI, is on Saturday February 21 at Tweedies Bar & Lodge in Grasmere from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
Donations are welcome to raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice Ulverston.
If your item is too big to bring with you, just bring a photograph instead. And if you do decide to sell something at auction, now would be the perfect time because entries are still open for Mitchells’ next Antiques & Fine Art Sale from March 18 to March 20 and Country Sporting Sale from April 15 to April 17.
If you can’t make it to the valuation events, Mitchells also offers free valuations by appointment at its Cockermouth saleroom and home visits by arrangement, including in the South Lakes & Furness. You can also send images by email for online appraisal.
