Emergency services have been called to a collision on the M6.

An air ambulance, five fire crews and police are attending the incident between Junction 32 at the M55 Broughton Interchange and Junction 33 at Lancaster South.

Drivers are warned to expect delays.

Traffic was initially stopped in both directions and delays of up to 30 minutes were being reported.

National Highways said traffic has been released southbound but lanes one and two remain closed northbound while emergency services work at the scene.
