Anti-social behaviour from a group of 40 youths has resulted in a dispersal order being put in place in Egremont.
Copeland Police said the dispersal order will be in place on Main Street from 5pm today, Saturday January 31, until 9am on Monday September 2.
Officers said it comes after a large group of around 40 youths placed ‘unnecessary demand’ on police resources last night.
Behaviour from the group included throwing items at passing cars and people.
A spokesman for Copeland Police said: “Anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour in Egremont town centre will be directed to leave, if they refuse or return during the exclusion period, they may be subject to arrest.”
