Barrow conceded twice in the last quarter of an hour to lose 3-1 at promotion chasing Swindon Town.
It was Swindon’s response after losing their three previous games while Barrow are still looking for their first win under new manager Paul Gallagher.
It keeps the Bluebirds looking over their shoulders as they slipped to 20th but are still four points above the drop zone.
It had started well enough for Barrow as they took the lead after only ten minutes when recent signing Danny Rose was there from close range to fire home after Charlie Raglan had hit a post from a corner.
Ten minutes later Swindon were back on terms when Ollie Palmer was unflustered at the far post to watch a Will Wright corner onto his foot before volleying home.
Aaron Drinan should have put Swindon in front but he headed over after a fine cross from Michael Olakigbe had provided a clear opportunity.
Barrow keeper Wyll Stanway came to his side’s rescue early in the second-half when he blocked a shot from Drinan who had been set-up by Palmer. They reversed roles soon after with Drinan setting-up Palmer but Raglan cleared off the line.
But it was Drinan who won it for Swindon. On 77 minutes he drove into the Barrow box and at a tight angle found the far corner.
Three minutes from time after Stanway could not hold a shot from Fletcher Holman it was Drinan who prodded home his 16th league goal of the season.
