
Resurfacing work is due to start today on a north Cumbrian road today.
Cumberland Council said contractors were due to start work on the B5307 between Finglandrigg and Kirkbampton, near Carlisle, today, Monday, February 2.
It is expected to last up to two weeks, subject to weather and site conditions, and will also include reconstruction of the pavement.
A full road closure will be in place and traffic marshals will be on site throughout to help residents access their properties where possible.
Refuse collections will continue where it is safe to do so.
Work will take place Monday to Friday, between 7.30am and 6pm.
Access will be maintained at all times for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists.
