
In Division One of the John Peel Darts League second placed Silloth Bowling Club hosted leaders Aspatria Bowling Club, looking to end their recent losing streak.
From the start it was one way traffic as Mark Sloan, Ali Edgar and Mike Sowerby put Aspatria into a 3-0 lead.
Silloth captain Trevor Frith beat Ged Stockdale to offer hope before David Graham and Eddie Carrick made it 5-1 and then Aspatria rattled off all three doubles and the last treble to seal an emphatic 12-2 victory.
They now go four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand while Cam Pape, Jack Robinson and Dan Redman won the consolation treble for Silloth.
Third placed Grey Goat A hosted bottom side Sun Inn C looking for their first win of the season and Dan Stobart made it 1-0 to the home side.
Adam Buchanan levelled things for the Sun but Mark Pearson and Daz Bowe put the Goat 3-1 up before Ben Allan pulled one back to make it 3-2.
Jonny Bowe made it four before Dan and Tom Stobart pushed the lead out to 6-2.
Sun C didn’t give up and it was 6-4 after Shaun Allan and Jordan Falcon beat Pearson and Daz Bowe. But that was as good as it got for the Sun C with the Goat taking the last four points to win the game 10-4.
Jovial Sailor and Wigton Bowling Club played out a 7-7 draw after Scott Stirzaker had won the first game for the Bowlers, throwing a 180 on the way.
Ash Nicholson, Dale Weir and Adam Jack made it 3-1 to Sailor before Janice Wilson pulled one back. Then Ali MacMillan increased the Carlisle side’s lead to 4-2.
Stirzaker and Alan Wilson took the first double to level the tie then Weir and Jack got the next for Sailor. Janice Wilson and Graham Metcalfe tied the game again at 6-6 and a treble apiece ensured the game ended all square.
The Red Dial Arrows made it four on the bounce with an impressive 10-4 victory at Bridge End A with Jamie Glencross, Kieron Little, Adam Gill, Matthew Glencross and Rob Hunter taking five points.
Jordan Rotherham beat Maverick Charters to make it 5-1 to the Arrows and the game was over after the first two doubles with Jamie Glencross and Little winning the first double and Gill and Charters the second to secure the win. Jamie Glencross, Little and Gill took the first treble.
It was also 10-4 at the Tam O’Shanter as they beat the Letters B when the highlight for the Aspatria side was a debut victory for Wayne Iredale beating Geoff Ramshaw.
Will Brough was the other single winner for the Letters while Liam Norris and Brough also took the first double to level the game.

But from then on it was all Tama as John Duncan won his single and treble with Norman Tolson and Ramshaw. Richard Henderson, Eaneas Robson and Joseph Robson won singles, doubles and trebles as they remain two points off second place.
Sun Inn A were given a 14-0 victory as Wigton Park Bowling Club disappointingly couldn’t field a team.
In Division Two the Crown Broadfield continued their pursuit of the title with a 10-4 victory against Wheatsheaf of Abbeytown.
Jamie Fleming, George Mitchinson, Jason Davidson and Jack Davidson won their singles. Fleming and Mitchinson won the first double and the result was sewn up when Jason Davidson and Jake Armstrong took the second.
Ben Mattinson and Harvey Harrison, with a single each for the Wheatsheaf, got points for the Abbeytown side while Harvey and Dec Harrison also earned a consolation double.
There was a second v third clash which saw Sun Inn B defeat Bridge End B to keep the pressure on the Crown as they won 8-6, taking out both trebles to secure the victory.
Adam Palmer, captain Ryan Fisher, David Shields and Mark Harris secured singles wins for Sun B while Bridge had wins from Lawrence Armstrong and Jack Paton.
Bridge took two out of three doubles via Armstrong and Alan Dinning and Liz Humphries and Les Davidson. Jimmy Dunn and Fisher won a double for the Sun.
Red Dial Sparrows and Bolton Lions drew 7-7 with Gary Armstrong, Xenon Charters, Will Studholme and Barry Watts winning the four singles for the Sparrows.

John Smallwood and Robert Cockburn made it 4-2, before the Lions took the first two doubles to lead 6-4 through Malcolm Hudson and Roy Day, and Cockburn and Smallwood.
Sparrows pulled square 6-6 via Studholme and Watts, and with the trebles shared the game finished 7-7.
There was another draw between Southend Social Club and Oddfellows, Caldbeck which again went down to the last treble.
Tweedale, Emma McGarvie and Halliman got the vital point after all three had also won their singles, McGarvie and Halliman also taking their doubles.
Flop Darwood took the other point for Southend. Alan Potts and Ian Gate won their singles; Zak Ostle and Potts and Richard Brough and Shane Ostle made it 6-6 before Ostle, Potts and Brough took the first treble.
Letters A v Grey Goat B was a tight game after Goat took the lead through Jack Hellon beating Mike Park. Paul Broome then tied the game beating Codie Elliot.
Will Jackson put goat 2-1 up, beating Ricky Holliday before the Letters then took the next five points. Ellis Holliday, Marcus Hamilton and Rodney Steele won singles before Park and Broome took the first double.
Jackson and Frazer Sealby, with a 106 off, took the second double while Finley Carruthers and Jack Mumberson made it 6-6.
The Letters were not to be denied, though, and took both trebles to win the game 8-6 and go above the Goat in eighth place.
Wellington’s 7-7 with Hare and Hounds was the third game to finish all square in Division Two after Alan Clarke, Scragg, Arron Jackson and Dan Knox gave Welly a 4-2 lead and George Studholme and Jake Bennett hitting back for the visitors.
Studholme and McCracken took the first double to make it 4-4 before Scragg and Jackson edged back in front for the Welly.
Bennett and Elaine Studholme tied the game 6-6 though before George Studholme, McCracken and Roland Howe secured at least a point as Hare and Hounds went 7-6 ahead.

Captain Arron Jackson, Alan Gibson and Dan Knox secured the draw at 7-7.
The final game in Division Two saw Joiners Arms defeat Rosley who have now lost three on the bounce to leave them seven points off the top despite them leading after singles wins for Wharton, Cross, Del Dalton and Little.
Joiners wins came via Joe Graham with a 120 off and Dom Harrison. Wharton and Cross made it 6-2 in the first double and it seemed Rosley would get back to winning ways but the Joiners then clicked and won every point from then on.
Flynn Charters and Joe Graham led the charge followed by Dom Harrison and Jay Charters. A fine 142 off by Linden Wilson in the first treble helped to spur them on and alongside Cam Jackson and Flynn Charters they took the lead for the first time at 7-6 before Graham, Harrison and Jay Charters then secured the victory at 8-6.
