
A man is due to appear in court today after police stopped a van on the M6 and discovered 40 packages of what was believed to be cannabis.
The packages had an estimated street value of around £200,000.
Reece Balfour, 30, of Dundee, was stopped by a Cumbria Police roads policing unit yesterday, February 12, at around 1.20pm.
The stop was made on the northbound carriageway between Junction 41 at the Catterlen Interchange and Junction 42 at Carlisle.
He has been charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs and driving without insurance.
He was remanded to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today, Friday February 13. .
