Growing Singing grant application photo with Cllr Sutton

Kendal Town Council has announced the deadlines for community groups and events organisers to apply to it for funding.

The council offers funding for the delivery of services that focus on addressing community needs and established and emerging events and festivals that enhance Kendal’s image and promote issues important to the people of Kendal.

Applications for these grants will now be accepted twice a year and be considered at committee meetings in September 2026 and January 2027.

Councillor Helen Ladhams, chair of the culture and communities committee said: “We are proud to support Kendal’s creative spirit and social wellbeing through our grant programme.

“We know how vital these grants can be and it is a key priority for the council to contribute to projects that reflect the council’s priorities, as well as those that address needs and issues within the community.”

Application forms, specific deadlines and guidance are available on Kendal Town Council’s website.

Organisations are encouraged to apply early and contact the Council Office with any questions about eligibility or documentation.

Biodiversity grants and Kendal in Bloom grants are also available and will still be considered on a rolling basis, in line with committee meetings.
