Four youngsters were rescued after becoming lost on the Lake District’s Corridor Route on Scafell Pike.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said they were called at around 7pm on Monday, February 16.
Police had received an emergency SOS text via the Coastguard, reporting the walkers lost and stuck.
The team said: “The team leader attempted to make direct contact, but neither calls nor PhoneFind attempts were successful.
“Police were also experiencing IT issues, limiting information flow.
“A small mountain rescue team was deployed to the last known location.

“All four were located, cold but otherwise uninjured, warmed up, and walked safely off the hill.
“They were returned to their vehicle, where they planned to rest before driving home.”
The rescue concluded at around 1.30am on Tuesday, February 17.
