
A man who was arrested in Penrith town centre has had his home searched by police, who discovered a small sword and two air rifles.
The man was arrested yesterday, Saturday February 21, on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled substances,
Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team officers searched his home and found the items.
Eden police said: “The investigation continues whether the male can legally posses the air rifles owing to previous convictions and the power of the air rifles.
“If you are convicted of an offence and sentenced to prison for three years or more, you are prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition of any kind for life.
“If you are convicted of an offence and sentenced to prison between three months and three years, you cannot possess a firearm or ammunition for five years from the day you are released from prison.”
