A Lake District mountain rescue team was called out three times in an hour and 20 minutes on Saturday.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said the first call came in at around 4.20pm.
A 30-year-old woman who had become cragfast on a section of Sharp Edge on Blencathra.
The team said: “Details regarding her exact location and condition were limited as her mobile signal was dropping in and out. Attempts to re-establish contact from the Keswick base were unsuccessful, prompting an immediate response.
“While team members were deploying to the fell, an update was received confirming that the woman had managed to self-rescue and was safely off the ridge. The team was stood down 50 minutes after the initial call and returned to base.”
Just two minutes later, the team was alerted to a fell runner in the Newlands Valley who had sustained a broken leg.
The runner, after a long run around the valley rim, had slipped on the final grassy descent above High Snab.
The team said: “With two incidents now getting under way team members drove close to the scene quickly.
“On arrival the casualty’s injuries were assessed, strong analgesia administered before splinting the casualty’s leg.
“The runner was then stretchered down to Newlands Church to await an ambulance and when one wasn’t immediately available the casualty was transported to our base in Keswick to wait for an ambulance.
“While at the base, additional pain relief was provided to ensure the casualty remained comfortable during the wait.”
The team’s final Saturday call came in at around 5.40pm.
A man descending the path from Styhead toward Seathwaite had aggravated a previous injury, resulting in a suspected dislocated patella.
Team members from the Sharp Edge deployment were immediately sent to the scene, along with additional members diverted from the almost concluded Newlands incident.
The team met the casualty and his girlfriend below Stockley Bridge and although in pain, he was still mobile. Team members assisted the man on the walk back down to Seathwaite Farm, from where his girlfriend transported him to hospital for further treatment.
