Cumbria has long been recognised for its exceptional pool talent, with players who have achieved world and European titles.

This strong foundation continues to shape the county’s reputation within the English Pool Association.

Alongside celebrating this success, the association is placing renewed focus on developing the next generation of players and strengthening the ladies’ squad, ensuring long term growth and a sustainable pathway for emerging talent.

The 2026 county season begins this Sunday when Cumbria’s men’s, women’s, and senior teams travel to Greater Manchester for their opening fixture.

The association said it was optimistic about the season ahead and the opportunities it presents for players across all squads.
