People in Egremont are being asked to make sure their wheelie bins are secure.
Copeland police said officers were receiving reports of young people taking the bins and setting them on fire in the Beck Green area.
Police said: “If you are able to secure your wheelie bins in any way or move them to a more secure location, please do so.”
