Four Premier Division games in the Cumberland County League are scheduled for tomorrow, but the threat of poor weather suggests all might not survive.
They are: Cleator Moor Celtic reserves v Unisun Athletic; Cockermouth v Whitehaven Miners; Keswick v Workington Juniors; Wigton Harriers v Aspatria.
Certainly Unisun Athletic will be expecting to take another step towards the League title against the side who are bottom of the table.
Unisun got through a potentially tricky game at Mirehouse last week in convincing fashion, with a 6-1 win and are hot favourites now to go and secure the Premier Division crown.
There’s a derby game at Barton Laws where the League’s draw specialists Wigton Harriers entertain neighbours Aspatria. Wigton have drawn seven out of 12 games, but are still looking for that first elusive win.
It’s been a disappointing season for Keswick, who are next to bottom with only one win in 11 games but they have been plagued by unavailabilities.
There’s also been a spate of postponements and they will be certainly one club looking at the weather first thing tomorrow morning ahead of their home game with Workington Juniors.
In the other Premier Division game Whitehaven Miners visit Cockermouth.
Top game in Division One is actually a League Cup tie between the two top sides. Second-placed Northbank, five points behind, host leaders Dearham United with both having played 15 games.
The three Division One games – Silloth v Bransty Rangers; Whitehaven Miners Development v Cockermouth reserves; Carlisle City Development v Windscale reserves.
