Whitehaven had to call off their West Lancashire League game at Cleator Moor Celtic through lack of players.
Eight of the squad who were on duty a week earlier were in Benidorm for the annual excursion which takes in the Cheltenham Festival in the sun.
Injuries and work commitments made more inroads to a potential side.
It will mean a fine for the County Ground side, who are already relegated from the Premier Division; a points deduction and the game will have to be rescheduled.
It’s all been a tough baptism for new manager Brian Dawson who took over in the new year and he has said he can’t wait for the end of the season and the chance to rebuild for a positive 2026/27 season in Division One.
Millom were at home to Burscough Richmond and collected three hard-earned points from a narrow 1-0 victory.

It was a game Millom dominated and created five or six excellent chances but were denied by a man of the match performance from the Burscough goalkeeper Jack Lawrence.
Without the heroics of Lawrence and some weak finishing at times, Millom would have been out of sight.

Top scorer Ben McDonald scored the only goal after 33 minutes.
That victory allowed the South Cumbrians to pull three points ahead of Burscough as they sit 7th and 9th in the 16-strong Premier Division.
Milnthorpe Corinthians are third bottom but surely safe of any lingering relegation concerns despite their 2-1 defeat at Tempest United.
It couldn’t have started much worse for Milnthorpe who were 2-0 down inside six minutes but they settled down and got to half-time without any further damage.
Indeed when Joe Dickinson scored on 55 minutes they were right back in it but couldn’t do enough to get back on terms.
