Resurfacing work is set to start on an Allonby road next week.
Contractors are set to start work on the B5300 from the Edderside junction to Dubmill Point on Monday, March 23.
A full road closure will be in place.
The work is expected to last for up to a week, subject to weather and site conditions.
There will be no vehicular access within work areas during 7.30am and 7pm.
Access will be maintained for emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists at all times.
Resident access will be restricted during working hours, but traffic marshals will help where possible.
Refuse collections will continue when safe to do so.
