A West Cumbrian road will be closed next week for repairs to the wall of a cattle grid.
Cumberland Council said it will carry out the work to the side wall of the Wasdale Hall cattle grid at Wasdale Head from Monday March 23 to Wednesday March 25.
The work will see the C4018 closed.
The work forms part of the bridges and structures team’s annual maintenance programme. The scheduled dates are subject to weather and site conditions.
Working hours will be from around 8.30am to 3.30pm, but the road closure will remain in place round the clock for safety.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained throughout, although short delays may occur during the movement of vehicles and plant.
Cumberland Council thanks residents and road users for their cooperation while these scheduled works are carried out. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
