Man in 90s and teen driver suffer potentially life-changing injuries in crash

A man in his 90s and a teen driver have suffered potentially life-changing injuries in a collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the A689 between Crosby-on-Eden and Linstock on Saturday, March 14.

The collision was reported at 6.50pm and involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Kia.

The driver of the Volkswagen Polo, a man in his late teens, and the passenger of the Kia, a man in his 90s, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries, with the potential of being life changing, police said.

Cumbria police is asking anyone who thinks they may have relevant dashcam footage from the time of the collision or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
