An SUV was stolen from a West Cumbrian supermarket car park last Saturday.
The black Volvo XC40, registration number M666 KTY, was taken from outside Cockermouth’s Sainsbury’s store at around 6.35pm on March 14.
It was later found on the outskirts of the town and had fire damage, consistent with arson, Cumbria police said.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw this vehicle on the March 14, or anyone with any information of who stole the vehicle and subsequently damaged it, to contact 101 or report it online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it, quoting incident number 52 of 14 March 2026.
