Maryport and Seaton met in an Under-14s game at the Athletic Ground and it proved to be a tight contest.

The home side just got the better of their Seaton visitors but both teams showed they have plenty of talent coming through the age groups.

It was Maryport’s first game of the season due to early fixture changes and it was a good test against a well-drilled, ball handling Seaton side.

The game could easily have gone either way but the final score went to Maryport to edge it.

A Maryport spokesman said: “Big thanks to Seaton for a great game and good luck for the rest of the season.”
