A youngster has been caught shoplifting in a Penrith supermarket.
Eden Police said the young person was caught at the town’s Sainsbury’s store today, Sunday March 29.
Officers visited their home and the young person received a Community Resolution for the offence.
Eden Police said: “A Community Resolution is an informal, out-of-court method for resolving minor offences, allowing offenders to take responsibility and victims to achieve closure without formal criminal proceedings.
“If more offences follow this it will result in a criminal record.”
