Foxparke Beep Beep won the open restricted at Low Place to complete a double for Ellie Napier, Grace Napier and Brooke Butler.

Bank Holiday Monday was sunny and pleasant for the HRA’s quick return to Low Place, where 66 hounds contested the four races.

The seniors were first to go with a decent slip of 17.

Once on their way they have to jump a wall before climbing up the fell and first to clear the obstacle was James and Ava McLellan’s Baroness Ava with Geoff and Gillian Higgins’ Lucky Moon for company.

Once they started climbing up the fell Lucky Moon went to the front from Baroness Ava and followed by Anthony, Steph, Sophie, Katie and Alfie Steele’s Miterdale Rambler.

The hounds are then seen on the back fell after roughly 20 minutes running and the favourite Foxparke Honk Honk had taken the lead from two kennel mates Baroness Ava and Countess Ava.

This trio had a narrow lead over Sophie Steele and Jake and Zach Green’s Miterdale Green Queen and Stephen Irving and Caroline Graham’s Zoya.

When they were spotted on the top of the fell leading onto the finish Foxparke Honk Honk had established a nice lead and went on to collect the win from Baroness Ava and Countess Ava. Miterdale Green Queen finished in fourth ahead of Zoya and Miterdale Rambler.

There was a slip of 15 for the pups. Once slipped and after going through the first gate and over the first jump, Ruth and Charlie Dixon’s Is It It was leading the way ahead of Geoff and Gillian Higgins and Jake and Zach Green’s Azalia.

When they came back into sight a minute later Miterdale Sauvage had taken the from Is It It and then the hounds could be seen climbing up the fell due to the good visibility.

The hounds were then seen going through the back fell after roughly 10 minutes running and Miterdale Sauvage had a small lead on Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, and Brooke Butler’s Miterdale Jiggle, Acacia and Azalia, Is It It and kennel mate What Is It.

Zach Green with Acacia won pups at Low Place.

As they showed on the top of the fell onto the finish Is It It was leading from Foxparke Jiggle and Miterdale Sauvage.

However as they dropped further down the fell and through the final wall gap it was the 2/1 shot Acacia who came through from fifth to win from two kennel mates What Is It and Is It It. Foxparke Jiggle finished in fourth ahead of Miterdale Sauvage and Azalia.

The open maidens had 21 entries. From the slip, though, kennel and littermates Foxparke Majesty and Foxparke Danny Elliot for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler were leading the way ahead of Dundee.

When they came back into sight a minute later the favourite Dundee was leading from Foxparke Danny Elliot and Malcolm Holmes’ Senor.

Next viewing is when they were climbing out of the bottoms and Dundee still leading from Senor and Foxparke Danny Elliot.

However, when they went through the back fell Senor, Carolyn, Derrick and Tracey Hill’s Maggie Moon and Dundee had engineered a nice lead over Robyn, Ellie, Grace, Nicola and Brooke’s Foxparke Elliot’s Lass.

Tracy Hill with Maggie Moon winner of Open Maidens at Low Place.

When they showed on the top of the fell onto the finish Maggie Moon had a lead over Senor, Stuart Jaynes’ Heartside and Dundee.

Nearing the gap in the wall onto the finish, Maggie Moon showed a good turn off foot to go on and win from Heartside who had dropped down well.

Senor was third and followed in by Dundee, Foxparke Elliot’s Lass and Foxparke Majesty.

The final race of the day was for the open restricted with a slip of 13.

On their way and racing Huntsman’s Quantum was going well from Foxparke Beep Beep and John Lyon’s Black Eyed Shadow.

Grace Napier and Foxparke Honk Honk won seniors at Low Place.

When they came back into sight a minute later Huntsman’s Quantum was still leading but was now being chased down by Foxparke Beep Beep.

The hounds were then seen climbing out of the bottoms and Foxparke Beep Beep was leading from Huntsman’s Quantum and Black Eyed Shadow.

On the back fell Foxparke Beep Beep was still leading from an unidentified lighter hound with an 100-yard gap to Huntsman’s Quantum in third.

From the fell summit and onto the finish Foxparke Beep Beep had opened-up a nice lead and went on to win well and land another for Team Foxparke.

The favourite Huntsman’s Quantum was second ahead of Black Eyed Shadow while the minor tickets went to Foxparke Sassy Girl, Willie and Craig Mark’s Summer Spirit and Denis Peare and Jackie Gill’s Miterdale Duchess.
