The Bristly Hog, a cafe and holiday apartment business in Kendal, is for sale.
The business, on the town’s Stricklandgate, is being marketed by Christie & Co for a leasehold of £225,000.
It pays an annual rent of £19,500 to the landlord of the 500-year-old listed building.
The property was previously used as a brush factory, where the cafe’s name comes from, and still features original period signs and architectural character.
The business features the ground floor cafe and above, a two-bedroom apartment, used for holiday lets.
Marslie McGregor, senior business agent at Christie & Co, said: “The Bristly Hog is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a thriving hospitality business with multiple income streams in one of Cumbria’s most attractive market towns.
“Its prime location, strong reputation, and unique historic setting make it an appealing prospect for operators, lifestyle buyers, and investors alike.”
