Around 3.4 tonnes of litter have been collected from 94 miles of verges across Carlisle.
Cumberland Council’s street cleaning team carried out its annual litter pick last month.
The team focused on areas identified as hotspots across the city.
The council said it had filled 94 bags with litter and cleared six car tyres and 1.1 tonnes of fly-tipping over the 94 miles.
