Futureproof Cumbria is inviting people across the county to double their impact on climate action as it launches its annual fundraising appeal next Wednesday, April 22.
The Stand Up for Climate Action campaign aims to raise £20,000 in just a week.
Thanks to match funding from the Big Give, every donation made between April 22 and April 29 will be doubled.
Futureproof Cumbria works with residents, communities and decision-makers to drive practical climate action across the county — from supporting greener homes and lower energy bills to ensuring climate is considered in key local and national decisions.
Beatrice Stanley, fundraising officer at Futureproof Cumbria, said: “This is an opportunity for people to make a real difference locally.
“The great thing is that thanks to match funding, every donation will go twice as far, so your donation of £10 becomes £20 – helping us support even more communities, influence decision makers and keep climate action on the agenda in Cumbria.”
