
Cumbria RU have named a squad of 42 players to prepare for the three group matches in the 2026 Bill Beaumont Division Two Championship.
They play the first two matches at home – against Durham at Kendal on May 9 and versus Northumberland at Penrith on May 16.
They complete the group with a trip to Cheshire on May 23 for the game at Chester.
The squad is made up of players from 14 county clubs as well as two from outside Cumbria – York and Northern.
Kendal are the highest-ranked side in the county, retaining their place comfortably in Regional One North East and they supply nine members of the squad – Oscar Coxon, Alistair Thompson, Dane Blenkharn, Aaron Stephens, Alfie Bradshaw, Ben Dixon, Dan Shorrock, Ben O’Halloran and Patrick Wolstenholme.
The squad is made up of: Jack Gaskell, Ant Davies, Morgan Bland, Jack Tunnicliffe (all Penrith); Aaron Sullivan, Josh Holmes, Chris Graham, Ryan Scott, Sam Royal, Dan Weir (all Aspatria); Lewis Davies, Peter Weightman, Lewis Bell, Ben Clarke, Kieran Mewes (all Keswick); Finn Kennedy, Tom Graham, Lewis Tingey (all Carlisle); Jamie McQuire (Millom); Chris Oakes (Egremont); Brad Morrow, Jack Shannon, Chris Burns (all Hawcoat Park); Fin Reed (Cockermouth); Jason Tait (Creighton); Jake Stewart, Olly Higgs, Ben Lawson (all Kirkby Lonsdale); Richard Addison (Upper Eden); Aidan Pirie (St Benedict’s); Flynn Manihera (Wigton); Tom McCullough (Northern) and Will Addyman (York).
