Egremont Rangers are back at Gillfoot tomorrow after a gritty effort in defeat at leaders Dewsbury Celtic last week.
Rangers host Oulton Raiders who are next to bottom of National League Division One with one win in five games.
The west Cumbrians are two places and two points better-off in the table and will be looking to resume winning ways tomorrow.
Coach Danny Barker said: “We are still struggling with injuries and unavailability unfortunately, but we will keep pushing on.”
One boost is the return of rron Turnbull who returns to the club following his release by Whitehaven.
Jack Stainton moves to full-back in place of Jayden Tyson, who switches to the halves with Frazer McNee unavailable.
Tom Houghton comes in on the wing while the Caine brothers – Ben and Dan – return to the squad on the bench.
Fellow Division One side Kells are second in the table (beaten only once so far, by Egremont) and they have a tasty trip to Wigan on the agenda to take-on St. Patrick’s.
Their hosts are also on eight points from five games but sit fourth, trailing Kells and Dewsbury Moor on scoring differential.
Kells coach Peter Smith is again missing a number of players but is happy enough with the squad he has available to travel.
The first 20 minutes last week in the 36-12 home win over Oldham St. Anne’s were as good as they have shown so far in five games.
Up in the top flight Wath Brow Hornets are on the road again to Hunslet ARLFC after last week’s sensational win at West Bowling.
Coming from 32-6 down to win 40-32 was some performance over the last 35 minutes and coach Ian Rooney couldn’t have been happier with that second-half display.
There were some criticisms in the first-half, when some defensive shortcomings found them out, and that will have been the main focus in training this week.
Rooney still has to finalise his squad as there’s also some doubt about the A team game with Cockermouth because of a shortage of referes.
