A young mountain biker was airlifted to hospital on Sunday.
Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team said it was called out to an area near Broughton-in-Furness after the biker had injured themselves.
It said: “Some local team members were very close by and reached the casualty for initial medical checks.
“They were soon joined on scene by North West Ambulance Service, and then fortunate to have Great North Air Ambulance Service attend to provide additional medical care.
“Team members extracted them quickly to the waiting helicopter.”
