Carlisle United have hit form at the right time as they prepare for a National League play-off semi-final next Saturday.
They wrapped-up the regular season with a 3-0 home win over relegated Brackley Town and will play the winners of Boreham Wood and Forest Green.
With third-spot already secured, and the extra time to prepare for the play-offs, United boss Mark Hughes took the opportunity to make six changes and it was a worthwhile move.
Two of those fresh starters scored the first-half goals which gave United a comfortable advantage at the break.
Luke Armstrong steered the Blues into a sixth minute lead while Jack Ellis followed to up to knock-in the second after Ryan Galvin had rattled the bar.

Brackley, with just one win last week in 15 games, almost pulled one back in the second-half when a shot Ben Wodskou came back out after hitting the inside of the post.

Carlisle made it three wins in a row, and without conceding, when a cross from Chris Conn-Clarke was put away by Georgie Kelly.
Boreham Wood will be favourites against Forest Green in mid-week, while the other play-off tie sees Scunthorpe United host Southend United.

Of the seven teams at the top only Boreham Wood have never previously played in the Football League.
