Denton Holme won the County Sunday Cup with a 2-1 win over Northside at Penrith’s Frenchfield.
However, there was an incident at the end where there appeared to be a confrontation between a player and an official.
Cumberland FA said: “We are aware of an incident and subsequent video footage which has been shared online, following the conclusion of the Sunday County Cup Final.
“As this is a county FA competition, the matter will be independently investigated by the FA through the National Discipline Service.
“At this time, the county FA will therefore be making no further comment to allow due process to be followed.
“Anyone with relevant mobile phone footage are asked to share this with the County FA via [email protected].
“All participants are also reminded of their responsibilities regarding their use of social media, in accordance with FA regulations.”
It was a typically hard-fought east v west final but it did produce three red cards, two of them after the game had finished.
Oliver Reay had put Denton Holme ahead just before half-time and early in the second-half Tommy Whitehead levelled for Northside.
It looked to be heading for extra-time when Ellis Watson struck late to give the Carlisle side victory and the trophy. It also earned him man of the match.
