Josh Galloway has decided to leave Workington Reds and look for a new challenge after two years at Borough Park.
The club said today that following discussions the 24-year-old Galloway has decided to decline the invitation to return for pre-season and will instead pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
Galloway, whose father Mick was a professional who played for both Carlisle United and Reds, started with Carlisle and subsequently played for Leeds United and Annan.
Former Reds manager Mark Fell brought him to Borough Park where he most often used him as a wing-back, but has mainly been used as a winger this last season by Darren Edmondson and Billy Barr.
He picked up an award at the end-of-season presentation for Goal of the Season for his effort at Hyde United.
Workington Reds said: “Everyone at Workington AFC would like to thank Josh for his contribution over the past two seasons and wish him every success for the future.”
