Antti Vuolas, the Finn who rode for two years with Workington Comets, is back in the country on May 30.
Vuolas is included in the 16-strong field for the FIM SGP World Championship Qualifying round at Glasgow.
The 26-year-old is not attached to any particular club this year and is concentrating on individual meetings across Europe.
It’s going to be a tough one at Glasgow as four Grand Prix winners have been named in a strong line-up.
Former World No 3 Maciej Janowski and Polish colleague Piotr Pawlicki are joined by Sheffield No 1 Jack Holder and home skipper Chris Harris as they bid to take a step towards the 2027 GP series.
Harris is one of three British riders confirmed to be competing at Ashfield, with Adam Ellis and Anders Rowe (Oxford/Sheffield) also in the field.
In accordance with the SCB regulations, nominations for GB places in the qualifiers were determined by the overall classification from the 2025 British Final, with Robert Lambert competing on the same day in Zarnovica.
The Glasgow line-up also includes a second current Tigers rider in Mario Hausl along with Berwick duo Victor Palovaara and Lasse Fredriksen, and Plymouth’s Daniel Klima.
Line-up: 1 Antti Vuolas, 2 Maciej Janowski, 3 Jack Holder, 4 Jonas Knudsen, 5 Kai Huckenbeck, 6 Victor Palovaara, 7 Mario Hausl, 8 Anders Rowe, 9 Casper Henriksson, 10 Frederik Jakobsen, 11 Adam Ellis, 12 Sven Cerjak, 13 Piotr Pawlicki, 14 Lasse Fredriksen, 15 Chris Harris, 16 Daniel Klima. Reserves: 17 Dan Thompson, 18 Tom Brennan.
