A quad bike has been stolen in the Lake District.

Cumbria Police are investigating the theft, which happened in the area of Loweswater, between Wednesday May 6 and Friday May 8.

It is described as a camo-coloured Suzuki LT500, with black wheels and a partial registration of DLZ.

Officers are seeking any information regarding sightings of the bike or any witnesses to any suspicious behaviour in the area.

Police added that they always recommend keeping all outbuildings secure and any vehicles or machinery locked and/or out of sight where possible.

Anyone with information about this or similar incidents in the area can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it – quoting log 52 of May 8, for the attention of PC 3619 Pearson. Or call 101.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
