Rio McQuistan

Rio McQuistan has made a quick return to Whitehaven after stepping away from the professional game in March.

The former Millom amateur had struggled with a chronic injury prior to, and during his time with Whitehaven which culminated in his decision to take a break.

However further treatment options has given the forward the opportunity to jump back into the professional game after maintaining match fitness by turning out for Millom in the Cumbrian NCRL Conference.

He has picked up man of the match awards for Millom during his time away from Haven, showing the kind of form which initially persuaded the Ortus Rec club to sign him pro.

McQuistan had made 21 appearances for Haven before his departure, scoring one try, and is in consideration for this Sunday’s Heritage Day clash at home to Keighley.
