A film crew has been spotted on a fenced off set in the Lake District.

The set was spotted yesterday between Crummock and Buttermere, opposite Melbreak with Rannerdale Knott’s to its right side.

Fences covered in black tarp have been erected around the set, which appears to be a castle-like stone archway, supported by scaffolding.

It is believed that filming is taking place in the area for Alex Garland’s Elden Ring, an upcoming Hollywood movie produced by cinema giant A24.

The film is set to be a dark fantasy action film, based on the 2022 video game Elden Ring developed by FromSoftware.

It is set to star the likes of Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Nick Offerman and is scheduled for release on March 3, 2028.
