Over 1,250 properties in Cockermouth are without power this afternoon.
SP Electricity North West said there was an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable, which was reported at around 2.05pm today, Wednesday June 10.
It said 1,260 properties were without a supply.
Engineers are on their way to the town and the estimated time of restoration is 5.05pm for 1,257 properties. Three properties with the CA13 9NQ and CA13 9NN postcodes are estimated to have their power restored at 8pm.
