Power has been restored to over 1,250 properties in Cockermouth.
SP Electricity North West said there was an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable, which was reported at around 2.05pm today, Wednesday June 10, prompting a power cut.
It said 1,260 properties were without a supply.
The estimated time of restoration was 5.05pm for 1,257 properties, but power was restored at around 3.40pm.
Three properties with the CA13 9NQ and CA13 9NN postcodes are still without power, but engineers are on site and the estimated time of restoration is 4pm.
