A driver was seriously injured following a collision on the A66.
The collision, involving a HGV and a van, was reported at 5am yesterday, Thursday June 11, between Kirkby Thore and Crackenthorpe.
The van driver suffered serious injuries.
The HGV driver was not seriously injured.
The stretch of road was closed until 5pm.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
