Barrow winger Tee Ritson has suffered a season-ending injury as he approaches a significant milestone in his Raiders career.
The 30-year-old flyer has a ruptured achilles and goes to see a specialist next week to discuss the way forward.
The injury occurred at Workington on Sunday when he scored a hat-trick and he believes may have occurred while he was on his way over almost for a fourth.
“I didn’t realise until a couple of hours after the game that there was something wrong,” he recalls.
Ritson has scored 98 tries for Barrow and if he scores two in his next three games that will be the fastest century by a Raiders player.
But that will have to wait until next season now although Ritson insists he will be there to watch the team in action as much as possible.
