
West Cumbrian hooker Jamie Blamire has been selected in the Carnegie Premiership team of the season.
The former Workington Zebras player, who also played rugby league for Seaton Rangers, has been outstanding for the Leicester Tigers throughout the last campaign.
He was in the Leicester side last night which went down 45-31 at Northampton in the Premiership play-off semi-final.
Blamire, 28, hasn’t been involved with the England squad this season but he has made seven appearances for the senior England side as well as five games for England Under-20s and one for England A.
He came through the Newcastle Falcons Academy before turning professional but after nine years in the North East, signed for Leicester last year.
