
A 12-year-old boy has been rescued after getting stuck in a Lake District river.
Keswick Mountain Rescue team were called out at 11.36am on Sunday to the boy who had got stuck at the side of the River Greta, at Brundholme Wood, and could not climb back out.
The team were deployed with resources to carry out a water and rope rescue but Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service were first on scene.
Firefighters were able to quickly get the boy to safety.
He was then handed over to ambulance paramedics for a precautionary medical assesment.
