Just eight weeks after a memorable day at Borough Park when Reds played their final game on the ground – they are back in training.
Billy Barr met up with his squad at Penrith FC and numbers were boosted by an invitation to the club’s successful Under-23s squad to join the session.
Barr has said that he will have there for three or four more get-togethers and has given an open invite for them to show what they have to offer and play their way into his senior squad.
Although the Reds boss is a stickler for fitness he didn’t go over the top at the first session and admitted he’s more used to getting professional footballers into shape at this stage of pre-season.
The manager confirmed that Clitheroe have been added to the list of friendlies with a visit there on Saturday August 1, a week before the NPL Premier Division season starts.
