Drivers are warned there will be roadworks in Workington town centre as its revamp nears completion.
The Workington town centre public realm and connectivity project has been carried out by Flimby-based Thomas Armstrong Ltd.
Its aim is to create a more vibrant, pedestrian-friendly town centre, developing safe, attractive public spaces that will support local businesses, encourage more visitors and attract further private investment, said Cumberland Council, which is behind the scheme.
Work on Murray Road and Central Way are now in their final stages.
SP Electricity North West will carry out utility work under the bridge on Central Way from Monday, June 29 until Friday July 5.
The road will be closed from the junction with Campbell-Savours Way for around 150m in a north easterly direction.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a diversion will be in place for vehicles.
The final raised crossing and surfacing work remains, due to be completed early next month, alongside overnight road closures.
A temporary road closure will be in place from the entrance to the multi-storey car park Central Way from Monday July 6 to Saturday July 11 from 7pm to 7am for resurfacing.
