[A] man from Troutbeck near Penrith has appeared at the magistrates court in Carlisle from police custody, charged with alleged sex-offences against teenage girls in Penrith.
When the four-charges were read out in court, his lawyer Chris Toms indicated that no-plea would be entered today.
Michael Edward Roiston Chapman, aged 22, court papers give his address as Greenbank Farm, Troutbeck.
There are two-allegations dated July 12, that he distributed an indecent photo/pseudo photo of a child and made an indecent photo/pseudo photo of a child.
There is one-allegation that he attempted to cause/incite a girl to engage in sexual activity on June 14, 2017, also on that day he is accused that he attempted to engage in sexual activity with a girl.
After a short hearing District Judge Gerald Chalk remanded Chapman into custody, to next appear at Carlisle Crown Court on August 25.
