[P]olice are appealing for witnesses to two burglaries which occurred on 19th October 2017 at approximately 3pm.
The offences occurred in the Westgarth Road area of Kirkby Stephen.
A white male, possibly in his 30s and wearing a white shirt and black trousers, has entered two addresses without permission. When challenged by the occupants he has claimed to be delivering a parcel.
He has then enquired about the victims neighbours as if he is trying to establish the correct destination for his parcel.
No items were stolen during either incident.
Police would also like to remind people to keep their doors locked even whilst at home.
