[J]oin landscape charity Friends of the Lake District at its free event, together with an expert from Eddington Astronomical Society, Kendal and learn how to navigate your way around the night sky.

The event takes place on Saturday 11th November at Mazonwath near Orton from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

Dark skies away from light pollution of towns are the best place to gaze at the glories of the night sky. The meeting point at Mazonwath and adjacent viewing point on Friends of the Lake District’s property at Little Asby Common should provide the ideal venue for star gazing.

The evening begins with a short talk from an expert from the Astronomical Society followed by a walk up onto Little Asby Common to view the night sky before heading back for coffee, tea, cake and questions.

Booking for this event is essential. Book free places online at friendsofthelakedistrict.org.uk or by calling 01539 720788.
