[E]mergency services are dealing with a serious two-car road traffic collision on the A69 at Low Row.
Police were called at 1:43pm.
An air ambulance has attended the scene.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 13:33 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on the A69 Low Row, Brampton.
“One casualty was extracted from the vehicle by fire crews using cutting equipment.
“The casualty was then taken to hospital by paramedics. ”
The A69 was closed between the A689 and the Denton Mill turn-off.
Update: The road has now reopened.
