Carlisle May Bank Holiday refuse collections

[I]nformation about Carlisle City Council and other services following the May Bank Holiday is as follows:

Civic Centre

The Civic Centre will close to the public at 4pm on Friday 4 May and will reopen on Tuesday 8 May. You can access our online services at www.carlisle.gov.uk

May Bank Holiday – Refuse and Recycling Collections

There may be some changes to the days you need to put out your refuse (wheeled bins or reusable gull-proof sacks) and kerbside recycling after the May Bank Holiday.

Please refer to your refuse and recycling calendar to check your collection date.

Usual refuse and recycling date and collection date following the May Bank Holiday:

  • Monday 7th May – Collecting Tuesday 8th May
  • Tuesday 8th May – Collecting Wednesday 9th May
  • Wednesday 9th May – Collecting Thursday 10th May
  • Thursday 10th May – Collecting Friday 11th May
  • Friday 11th May – Collecting Saturday 12th May

Collections return to normal from Monday 14th May onwards.
