[M]otorists travelling to this weekend’s Country Fest are reminded to be aware of roadworks and a contraflow system that are in place on the A590 from Brettargh to the M6.
With large numbers expected the event held at the Westmorland County Showground at Crooklands, police are advising motorists to expect delays.
Those attending are urged to allow extra time for their journey, avoid the A590 and use either of the following alternative routes:
- From Kendal – use A65 past hospital, via Endmoor.
- From Lakes – use A6 via Milnthorpe.
